I discovered Robert J. Morgan when my husband was given Morgan's first Then Sings My Soul book as a gift by a church member. B&B Media sent me Morgan's latest offering All to Jesus: A Year of Devotions, published by B&H Books for the purpose of review.
All to Jesus brings to light how important the word all must be to God, seeing that He uses it so frequently and purposefully throughout Scripture. These 365 devotions, surrounded each day by inspiring stories and personal reflections from best-selling author Rob Morgan, are daily reminders that the Lord cares for you in ways you never imagined.
From the introduction:
"The Lord doesn't waste words in His book...the all maximizes the meaning to the absolute. It's the largest little word in the world, taking already strong statements and broadening their applications to virtual infinity, which, after all, is what one would expect from an omnipotent Father. The frequency of this word in Scripture speaks to the all-sufficient grace of our Almighty Savior. It highlights the infinite omniqualities of God, and the complete devotion our Almighty God, our All-Sufficient Savior from whom All blessing flow; and He is All we need."
These devotions are short, spanning only one page. Each includes a scripture passage to read, highlight of the word "all" in one of the verses in that passage, and is followed by a short commentary for reflection. While short, the devotions offered in All to Jesus pack a powerful punch and offer you much to reflect upon throughout your day. As a busy mom of three in a very busy and full season of life, this devotion is very appreciated. On those days when life is overwhelming, the devotions in this book are a quick (without being shallow) way to redirect my heart and mind toward Christ. Also included with the book is a link to download 40 free worship songs as well as an exclusive All to Jesus small group Bible study app.
You will want to grab this wonderful resource for use in the upcoming new year. You can find it at Amazon.com by going HERE.
