My Thoughts:
I first encountered Johnson's writing when I read God, Me, and Sweet Iced Tea: Experiencing God in the Midst of Everyday Moments. I was really excited to hear of her debut novel My Father's House. Johnson is a writer to be followed! She has written an emotionally charged novel with well-developed characters. I won't be forgetting Lily Rose Cates any time soon. Johnson reminds readers through this story that even when all goes wrong, the Lord is ever faithful with mercy and grace new every morning.
