Grandfathers are a special breed
Of kinfolk, all their own.
They love you and hug you,
And spoil you to death.
And then, they send you home.

As I have shared before, one of the difficult things about being a ministry family is that we haven't always lived close to family. We are presently about 1,000 miles away from family in MS and AL.
Thankfully, all of the GrandParents have been able to make it down to SW Florida to visit except for Mike's parents. Most recently my dad and step-mom were able to make a whirlwind trip down. They came last Saturday and stayed until Sunday afternoon.
Here is JennaBeth's first meeting Papaw Conrad and first picture with him:

My dad and Vera, my step-mom, drove all night Friday night in order to get to our house by 8 a.m. on Saturday morning. They brought with them their little baby, "Man". Here is "Man" and daddy catching a quick nap.
Lots of fun was had on the living room floor...
Not sure what the problem was here, but papaw did a good job of getting her calmed down...
JennaBeth was quite taken with papaw's hair...
Bentley enjoyed papaw getting down on the floor and wrestling with him...

Papaw and JennaBeth were in "deep" conversation...
We took this picture after church on Sunday...I don't think Bentley is winking. The sun was in his eyes. It was a hot day!
We couldn't get JennaBeth to look up for anything!
Cecily and Bentley with "Man"...and "Green Bear".
Daddy and Vera bought JennaBeth a sweet card and a generous financial gift. I went to Target today and was able to do well with the baby sale Target was having coupled with coupons I had. Look at the things I was able to get...
JennaBeth was so proud of all her things. I thought this little outfit was super cute. The little jean skirt with the leggings just kill me :) I can't wait for JennaBeth to wear this.
We had such a good time with Daddy, Vera, and "Man". Our family appreciated the effort they made to come down and visit and were especially thrilled that JennaBeth got to meet her papaw Conrad and Vera for the first time.

To all the GrandParents in our lives, WE LOVE YOU!!!
Blessings,
